Global Week locations

You can celebrate Global Week all around the University. A huge range of activities are taking place at cultural fairs, events, and even in our classrooms — where global themes will be integrated into some of your lectures.

There are some key locations — or hubs — where most of the activities will take place:

  • City Campus
    • Our cultural stalls fair is located in Newton Central Court
    • The workshops and performances throughout the week will be based mainly in the Old Chemistry Theatre
  • Clifton Campus
    • Our cultural stalls fair is located in the Pavilion building
  • Brackenhurst Campus
    • The cultural stalls are located in the Bramley building

Make sure you check out the event descriptions, as a number of them are also taking place at other sites throughout the University.

Your opportunity to discover the world and your University

You’re encouraged to get involved in as many activities as possible throughout the University. Global Week is also a great opportunity to visit some of  our other campuses — so if you haven’t already, now’s the perfect time to see for yourself the hustle and bustle of our City Campus, the beauty of Brackenhurst, and the brand new multimillion pound developments at Clifton.

How to travel between campuses?

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) operates the Go2 Uni 4 bus service between our City and Clifton campuses. The Clifton Campus bus stop is located by the Benenson building — the bus drops you off on South Sherwood Street near the City Campus, before travelling on to Burton Street for the journey back to Clifton. The Go2 Uni 4 bus runs from Monday to Friday during term-time.

You can also catch Navy Line 1, which stops on Clifton Lane near the main entrance to Clifton Campus, and drops you off in the Market Square in the city centre. This service runs on weekdays and weekends, and also operates outside of term-time. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes.

Tickets cost £2 each way — or £3.70 for an all-day ticket — and you’ll need the exact fare, as NCT buses do not give change. Visit www.nctx.co.uk for full details of their routes, timetables and fairs.

Brackenhurst Campus is also connected to Nottingham city centre by the NCT Pathfinder 100 bus service, which runs throughout the year. The service departs from King Street (just off the Market Square) and drops you off on the main road outside Brackenhurst Campus. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes.

As above, visit www.nctx.co.uk for full details of their routes, timetables and fairs.
